If you feel that what you need is the knowledge and experience of someone who understands what you are currently dealing with and can help you get the best out of yourself in your leadership role then perhaps you should consider one-to-one leadership coaching.

This will provide you with regular one-to-one support sessions, either by telephone or in person, with one of our leadership coaches. The agenda is entirely up to you and is based on whatever it is that concerns you at that time.

Here are some examples of the kind of things our people have helped with in the past:

Developing credibility with staff, parents, governors and children
Coping with the stress of leadership
Managing time
Dealing with parents
Finding a balance between the demands of work and home

These are a few suggestions but we will try to help you with whatever it is you are dealing with.

Support for Leadership Teams

All those colleagues at Primary Transformation who offer support for leadership teams are experienced in headship, having had at least two headships themselves, so are well equipped to support you and your leadership team in whatever way you need.

Support is usually provided over half a day at a time, though if appropriate a whole day can be set aside for this. As with Leadership Coaching the topics you may want to develop in your school are many and varied but here are some of the areas in which we have recently helped schools:

Developing a comprehensive monitoring programme, to include all aspects of monitoring of teachers' planning, lesson observation (including peer observation) and feedback and pupil outcomes.
Improving behaviour and discipline procedures
Creating inspirational play environments that meet the needs of all children
Dealing with low standards of literacy
Addressing gender differences in attainment and behaviour
Designing and implementing appraisal/performance management arrangements that really have an impact
Improving staff morale
Improving home/school relationships
